September is the next instalment in a number of *burlesque inspired* sessions lead by photographer Toni Wallachy, who runs Orangeroads Photography and Pink Panther Studios in Toronto. Toni brings her creativity and mastery of photography into her sessions and you can view some of her work on her Flickr page here: We will hold a series of 6 session all depicting a different Burlesque performer from the Toronto and surrounding areas. Each performer will bring their own uniqueness to the set through elaborate customs and gestures. Expect the sessions to be colourful and theatrical. Keep in mind, burlesque is all about the tease, so all session will be implied nudity.

The acts tend to put emphasis on style and are sexy rather than sexual. A typical burlesque act may include striptease, expensive or garish costumes, bawdy humor, cabaret and more. Unlike strippers who dance in strip clubs to make a living, burlesque performers often perform for fun and spend more money on costumes, rehearsal, and props than they are compensated.
